Myra R. North McGee, 86, of Glouster died peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her home with family.
Myra was born September 29, 1937, in Glouster, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Beulah (Russell) North. She retired from Emerson’s Department Store, Variety Store and Rainey’s, all in Glouster. Myra owned a store called Dress Ups, selling wedding dresses, evening gowns, prom dresses, vails, and jewelry. She also cared for several elderly people at their home. Myra loved embroidering and sewing, over the years she made many blankets, pillows and clothes.
Myra was married to Harold McGee on April 20, 1957, until his passing on April 23, 2016. They were married for 59 years. They have two daughters, Sandra Diane McGee-Fetherolf of Fort Pierce, Florida and Lisa Rae McGee of Glouster; five grandchildren Tara McGee of Fort Pierce, Florida, Jerred (Meghan) Bulstrom of Stewart, Paige (Shawn) Howson of New Marshfield, Allison (Andrew) Hollenbaugh of Fredericktown, Ohio and Dakoda (Sarah) Holland-Fetherolf; ten great-grandchildren Gage (Taylor) Forgoress, Gunnar Forgoress, Gabriella Forgoress, all of Fort Pierce, Florida, Bryce Bulstrom of Jacksonville, Averi Bulstrom of Stewart, Raylan Howson of New Marshfield, Brody, Carson, Koda and Emilee Holland-Fetherolf of Athens.
Myra has a sister Flora Kay North of Glouster. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Janet (Jenny) Thompson, Diana Arnold, Sue Collins and a son-in-law Edward Fetherolf.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville, with Ron Fierce officiating. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
