ATHENS, Ohio — Wendy Ann Walker, 29, of Athens died unexpectedly Nov. 17, 2023, in Athens. Born Nov. 28, 1993, in Anderson, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Frank “Kenny” Walker and Kathryn “Kate” Kovaleski Ford and her stepfather Doug Ford of Athens.
She was a graduate of Nelsonville-York High School and Tri-County JVS. She attended Athens Goodwill Activity and Training Center and Building Bridges Adult Center of Athens. Wendy enjoyed four Wheeling weekends with her sisters, and her many friends at DayHab. She loved animals, especially her guinea pigs Snuggles, Patches and Oreo, and her cat Princess.
Wendy is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kate and Doug Ford; four sisters, Amanda (Mike) Dowler of Albany, Kyndra (Bob) Crow of Galena, Jessica (Ryan) Adams of Canal Winchester and Lyndsie Walker of Columbus; two brothers, Ronald (Lindsay) Walker of Illinois and Randy (Amanda) Walker of Albany; her fiancé, Chelsea Clonch, of Athens; her grandparents, Bud and Marilyn Ford of Sidney; several aunts and uncles; and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her father, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Rita and Don Zingre and Jack and Vada Kovaleski, and an aunt, Donna Walker.
Family and friends may call 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, 24 Morris Ave., Athens. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
