ATHENS- Norma Lee Grubb, age 93, of Jackson formerly of Athens died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus. Born March 15, 1930 in Chauncey, she was the daughter of the late Rye Cunningham and Lena Watkins Cunningham.
A graduate of Chauncey-Dover High School, she was employed at McBee Corp. and Heck’s Department Store both in Athens for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Athens, the Mother’s Club and the Athens Boat & Ski Club. She enjoyed crafts, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Norma is survived by a daughter, Jody Clark of Jackson; a son & daughter in law, Michael “Mike” & Karin Grubb; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Linda) Cunningham of Canaanville; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Blaine G. Grubb, who died in 2006; three sisters, Judy, Cleo and Eileen; and three brothers, John, Bud, and Jerry.
