Donald Hooper, 35, passed away Saturday December 23, 2023, in Glouster, Ohio. He was born July 4, 1988, in Athens, Ohio. Donald was a member of the Ohio Carpenter’s Union Local # 356 in Marietta, Ohio. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending his time fishing and hunting with his son and nephews.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Carolyn (Duncan) Hooper of Glouster; a son, Mason Hooper; a daughter Allison Hooper; a sister, Mandy (Nathan) Ammons; and two brothers, Mike (Amber) Vess and Jason (Faith) Vess; four nephews, Dakota Ammons, Tommy Ammons, Hoyt Ammons, and Eli Riley, all of Glouster; a grandmother, Beatrice Collins; aunts and uncles, Tammy (Randy) Roberts, Shirley (Dallas) Cook, Brent Webb, Jack (Brenda) Russell, Billy (Angie) Rusell, Andy (Bev) Russell, Cliff (Trish) Hooper, Debbie (Larry) Cochran, Mike Hooper, Tim Hooper, Bell (Keith) Pearson, Candace Graham, Jennie Hollingsworth, 44 cousins. Best friend and cousin, Corey Morgan and very special friends, Denise and Paul Jenkins, and Randy Waldeck.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Melody Hooper; his grandparents, Donald and Ruth Hooper; a grandfather, Otis J. Duncan; aunts, Margie Webb, Charolette Russell, Donna Matthews, Christy Bosworth, Mary Hooper and Cheryl Duncan; uncles, David Duncan and Pat Hooper; and a cousin, Mackinsey Roberts.
Donald was loved very much and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
