Richard L. Sanders, 87 of Glouster passed away Sunday January 7, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Born July 2, 1936, in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Fred and Mable McPeak Sanders. He was an Army Veteran and retired from Essex Wire in Zanesville. Richard enjoyed coon hunting, going to dirt track car races, and collecting and fixing tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Van Way Sanders of Glouster; a daughter, Jo Ellen (Joe Ratliff) Craig of Glouster; a son, Don Sanders of Glouster; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Dow (Nancy) Sanders of Glouster; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Chester, Ralph, Jack, and Bill Sanders.
A cremation has taken place. Arrangements for a graveside service at the Concord Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
