The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine has added a mini mobile unit to its fleet, which includes two larger mobile health clinics. The college’s mobile units offer free medical services in the region. The mini clinic will be better able to travel on rural roads to access more isolated communities. (Ohio University)

Former Gallia County wrestling coach and teacher Matthew Huck was arrested after his indictment on one count of rape of a former female student, as well as three counts of complicity related to his formerwife’s sexual abuse of students. An Ohio House bill to ban transgender people from using multi-person school bathrooms and locker rooms which correspond with their gender identity rapidly passed out of committee last week. The bill now heads to the full House for consideration. The bill also bans the institutions from offering multi-person gender neutral bathrooms. (Buckeye Flame)
Trumpeter swans were removed from Ohio’s threatened species list after a 28-year effort to reverse the species’ decline. The bird is the continent’s largest native waterfowl. (WVXU)
