Noah Michael Trembly, 46, departed this earthly plane due to aspiration pneumonia on Tuesday, April
16, 2024, from his home in Athens, Ohio.
Noah was born in Lower Salem, Ohio to Mike and Ann Trembly on September 3, 1977.
After graduating from Fort Frye High School, he continued to concentrate on learning computer
technology.
Noah was once a graphic designer, award-winning digital artist, and webmaster. As CEO of Noah
Trembly Enterprises, a consulting and motivational speaking company, he was the expert that people
turned to when it came to making our society more amendable and accessible to people with
disabilities. He was known to testify at state hearings and was a proud Google Trust Tester.
Noah was an ambassador for PRC-Saltillo, the company that made his AAC (augmentative and
alternative communication) device, for over 15 years. He served as an analyst, educator, and technology
consultant.
He taught students in higher education, helping them and faculty understand the challenges people with
disabilities face in everyday life. Noah worked at Ohio University for 5 years in various roles such as
outreach coordinator, onsite educator, technology consultant, and accessibility consultant. He also
taught classes at the University of Cincinnati and Bowling Green State University.
Noah enjoyed giving speeches throughout the United States and Canada. He was a presenter at national
and international conferences, including the ISAAC (International Society for Augmentative and
Alternative Communication) conferences. In 2014, he won the Edwin and Ester Prentke AAC
distinguished lecture award.
Noah served as president and chief executive officer of the Ohio Network for Innovation, Inc. and served
on the SAPEC (State Advisory Panel for Exceptional Children) for the Ohio Department of Education. He
was also an active member of the Athens community, where he was a member of the Athens Affordable
Housing Commission and served as Vice Chair of the Athens Commission on Disabilities.
Noah was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed discovering accessible hiking trails, traveling, camping, live
music, snow skiing, canoeing, kayaking, parasailing, ziplining, target shooting, swimming, cooking,
gardening, and preserving his garden produce.
Noah was predeceased by his partner, Bernita Stout; grandparents Lyle Vincent and Mary Elizabeth
(King) Etter, Ruth Ernestine (Jones) Dulaney, and Ivan Clifton Trembly; aunts Teresa (Lyle) Etter and
Linda (John) Etter; and uncles John Etter and Thomas Wilson. He is survived by his parents; sisters
Chandra (Caleb) LaPorte and Ananda Trembly; nephew Everest LaPorte; nieces Rileigh Trembly and
Madeline Gray; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
During his last few months, Noah enjoyed the company of his friends and colleagues, sharing laughter
and memories. Noah planned and wished for friends, relatives, and colleagues to gather at Stuart’s
Opera House, 52 Public Square, Nelsonville, Ohio, on Sunday, June 9 th , at 3:00 pm to share memories,
enjoy his parting playlist, eat, and have a toast of Jameson for a life well lived.
Noah’s family feels gratitude to the nurses at Buckeye Hospice and to his home health care providers at
Zion Home Healthcare Services and SOAR Home Care. We would like to give a special thanks to all the
folks who looked beyond his physical condition to recognize the spirit and intelligence that he
possessed. You made his life worth living.
