Hallie Mae Hoisington Vore

THE PLAINS- Hallie Mae Hoisington Vore, 95, of Athens, Ohio, passed away on April 26, 2024.
She was born on April 12, 1929, in Constitution, Ohio, to the late John and Faye Brookhart.
Hallie retired from Food Services at Ohio University after dedicating 30 years to her career. She was a
proud alumna of Chancey Dover High School, graduating in 1947.
Hallie was a member of Poston Methodist Church in Poston, Ohio, where she found solace and
community.
Hallie is survived by her loving family: Sister, Vivian Ridenour (Phillip) of Athens, Ohio; Brother,
Danny Brookhart of Albany, Ohio; Son, Roy Lee Hoisington, Jr. (Patricia) of Buford, GA; Grandson,
Nathan (Kari) of Greeley, CO; Grandson, Patrick of Buford, GA; Great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and
Kaehlyn Hoisington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Faye Brookhart; Brothers: John, Carl, and
Thelbert (“Sox”) Brookhart; Sisters: Dorothy Hunter, Theda Ritchie, and Florence Sprague.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 3:00pm. The family
requests that donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to Atlanta Bible Camp, c/o Ken Gibson, Treas., 1135
Chatham Rd., Buford, GA 30518. Jagers and Sons Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio, is assisting the family
