Dog of the Week: Buster

BUSTER, 3-4-24, male American Bulldog, ~10yo, 58.2#, FOUND in Carbondale.

Buster is a 10 year old American Bulldog who has not lived a life of luxury. When he came into the shelter, he was severely underweight, covered in ticks, and had nails so long it was painful to look at them. But Buster was just so wiggly and happy to be away from whatever horror he was living.

In the two months since, Buster has received several baths, had his nails done, been neutered, and had a tumor removed from his eyelid. He has also gained some much needed weight. Throughout it all, Buster just seems incredibly grateful for everything. When you give Buster a treat, his eyes light up in the most heartbreaking way.

Buster still carries signs of age and neglect, but can you imagine how much fun it would be to spoil him and teach him the comforts of a home and family? He loves to go on walks and certainly has a lot of love left to give. Buster deserves a chance to experience the good in life.

Can you help pamper Buster? Call the Athens County Dog Shelter at (740) 593-5415 to meet him.
