ATHENS- Roger B. Kasler (82} of Athens passed away at the Laurels of Athens on Saturday, June 15, 2024 after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Arthur and Eula Kasler.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Tim Lutz of Athens, and their children, Tyler Lutz of Columbus, Ohio, Elyse Lutz of Charlotte, NC, and Griffin Lutz of Athens; a son and daughter-in-law, Dana and Andrea Kasler of Fort Myers, FL and their children, Mackenzie Kasler, Fort Myers, FL and Madison Kasler, Fort Myers, FL. His grandchildren were the light of his life and his pride and joy. Roger was a member of the Hocking Valley Sportsman Club, The Elks and the Masons. He was an avid fan of Ohio State sports.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Laurels for the wonderful treatment he received during his several stays there. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Cancer Society. Graveside service will held Saturday, June 22nd, 12:00 noon, at West Union St. Cemetery, Shafer and Union Streets, Athens, with a celebration of life at the Hocking Valley Sportsman Club, 5989 Radford Road, Athens, Ohio following the graveside service.
