Regina “Jean” Bickley, or “Mrs. Bickley” as she was commonly referred to by her former students, 78 of Glouster passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Doctor’s Hospital, Columbus. Born Jan. 2, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Covella Sikorski. She retired from Trimble Local Schools after 39 years of service where she was a Teachers Aide. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Glouster and the Glouster Eagles. Jean was known for her amazing baking and cooking skills, providing cakes and cupcakes for every occasion in the community. She enjoyed playing cards and games of all sorts and spending time with beloved family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, John Bickley of Chauncey, Jeff (Lori) Bickley and Joe (Brook) Bickley, both of Glouster; grandchildren, Miranda, Bradley, Bethany, Braiden, Bailey, Lucy, Ridgely, Gina, Krystal, Jeffrey, Garrett, Victoria, and James; great-grandchildren, David, Lucas, Daryl, Pryce, Verity, and Phillip; siblings, Patricia Hartman, Ron Sikorski, John Sikorski, Rose (Bob) Lieb, Vicki (Jeff) Ross, Dennis (Thelma Sycks) Sikorski, Ralph Sikorski, Mark Sikorski, and Tim (Sherry) Sikorski; a special friend, Helen McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Bickley; a son, Jimmy Bickley; a daughter, Jeannie Bickley; brothers, Joseph Sikorski Jr. and Gregory Sikorski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Glouster with Father Don Horak officiating. Interment will be in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Trimble. Visitation will take place on Friday at Holy Cross from 2 to 8 p.m. where there will be a vigil service held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Trimble Textbook and Supplies Foundation, c/o Sandy Gyure, PO Box 187, Glouster, Ohio 45732.
