ATHENS- Rebecca Lynn Zimmerman, age 52 of Glouster, died Friday morning, June 28, 2024 at her home. Born Feb. 12, 1972 in Athens, she was the daughter of Thomas L. Zimmerman of New Marshfield and the late Patricia Ann Mingus Zimmerman.
A 1990 graduate of Alexander High School and Tri County JVS, she studied early childhood education. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed going to thrift stores, yard sales and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Timothy L. Zimmerman; three daughters, Ashley (Brannon) Alkire of Crooksville and Kristen (Brent) Wolfe of Glouster and Kenzie Zimmerman of the family home; two sons, Bradley Zimmerman and Timothy R. Zimmerman both of the family home; four grandchildren, Elliott Wolfe, Ryder Alkire, Landon Alkire and Hudson Wolfe; two sisters, Tracy Zimmerman-Llewellyn of New Marshfield and Wendy (Michael) Zimmerman of Athens; a brother, Thomas (Amber) Zimmerman of New Marshfield; also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Jerry Sheets officiating. Burial will be in Canaanville Cemetery.
