Rex L. Angle, 68, of Nelsonville, formerly of Glouster and San Juan Island, Washington, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Athens. Born July 17, 1955, in Zanesville, he was the son of the late Robert B. and Lois J. Garrett Angle. He was an Army veteran and was formerly employed as a meat cutter on San Juan Island. Rex had an affection for music and was known for his cooking abilities. He was also an avid reader and fan of the Trimble Tomcats and Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by two sons, Nathan (Cheryl) Angle of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Josh Angle of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island; grandchildren Sadie and Wyatt Angle; a sister, Cathy Jo (Donnie) Corne of Laurelville; a brother, David (Dena) Angle of Glouster; and a good friend, Wayne Shuttleworth.
A cremation has taken place. A graveside service at the Maplewood Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
