To the editor:
Republican state politicians are not serving us well and need to be replaced. These recent news headlines are good examples of what I’m talking about: “Ohio Supreme Court approves redistricting summary with only two small revisions” and “Ohio Ballot Board approves minor tweaks along party lines.”
Quite simply, the Republican majorities on the court and the board are being dishonest and cheating.
Here’s another headline with more of the same: “Amid ongoing threats, Ohio GOP US Senate candidate calls for deporting Springfield legal immigrants.” (Note – these are LEGAL immigrants.)
The solution is simple. Vote for Democrats on the Athens County ballot.
Support Michael Donnelly, Melody Stewart and Lisa Forbes for the Supreme Court. Vote for Wenda Sheard, Micah McCarey and Ari Faber for the Ohio General Assembly. And vote to re-elect Senator Sherrod Brown.
Also, vote for State Issue One.
Ohioans need responsible representation in Columbus and Washington and fairness in the redistricting process. These votes will accomplish that.
