ATHENS- Christopher Wesley Sauber, 36, of Sevierville, TN, formerly of Athens, passed away unexpectantly on September 15, 2024 from an automobile accident. Born January 1, 1988 in Huntington, WV, he is the son of Michelle Bond Christopher and Kurt Sauber.
He was a 2006 graduate of Athens High School and was currently involved in real estate sales. He served in the United States Army for 10 years. He was a veteran of the Global War on Terrorism where he received two campaign stars during the Afghanistan campaign.
Christopher is survived by his beloved son Ezra Sauber; his mother, Michelle (Scott) Christopher; his father, Kurt (Laurie) Sauber; his grandmother, Carol Sauber; his sisters, Brandi Hartley, Cassie Christopher and Stephanie Christopher.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Richmond and his grandparents, Pat Sauber, and John & Dolores Bond. Christopher will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
