NELSONVILLE- Ramon Emmanuel “Max” Cuna, age 26, of Nelsonville died Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his home. Born September 6, 1998 in Ft. Riley, Kansas, he is the son of Stacie M. Malamatinis of Naples, Fla. And Jose M. Cuna of Naples, Fla.
He attended Alexander High School and was employed in the hotel/ motel industry. He enjoyed dancing, travel (especially to Wedding Beach in Florida), Scrabble, reading and especially spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents Max is survived by his grandparents, E.J. Malamatinis of Ft. Myers, Fla. And Priscella Black of the Philippines; his sister, Athena M. Simpkins; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Max is preceded in death by his grandparents, Diane M. Wilson and Ramon Sarat Cuna.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Rev. Phil Foster officiating. Burial will be in West Union St. Cemetery, Athens.
