Dear Editor,
It has become quite clear that the Trump administration is incompetent and corrupt. Many important services to and for taxpayers are not being delivered. Others are on the chopping block.
Donald Trump and family are making big, big money with various pay-to-play schemes. Elon Musk is also profiting personally from his work with DOGE. And then of course Trump – ignoring the rule of law – is leading the country down the path of authoritarianism.
We the people need to act. Take to the streets to protest. Speak out. Bombard our elected representatives with phone calls, letters and emails. We must convince them to stand up for what is fair and right.
Thank goodness for the many people and entities that are pushing back legally. We must also support their efforts to stop Trump in the courts.
There is cause for optimism. I am hopeful we can overcome the threat to American democracy and set things straight.
