Glenn Edward Lowery

Glenn Edward Lowery, 78 of Glouster, passed away on Thursday May 29, 2025, at his sister Barbara J. McKee’s home in Nelsonville, OH.  He was the son of the late Lorenzo D. Lowery Sr., and Ethel B. Lowery of Glouster.  Glenn was born June 29, 1946.  He was a member of the Oakdale Church of Christ in Glouster.

Glenn graduated from Glouster High School in 1967.  He was employed for 18 years at Junction City Clay Company in Junction City, OH.  Then he worked and retired from the Trimble Township trustees.  After that, he worked as a janitor for Tim Sikorski at Sikorski’s Home Plate in Glouster.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed working.

Glenn always showed acts of kindness, helping neighbors and friends with little things they needed done. 

He is survived by one brother, William E. (Cathy) Lowery of Circleville; four sisters, Carol E. (Marty) Hall of Georgia, Alice C. McKee of Trimble, Barbara J. McKee of Nelsonville, and Lorene K. Giffin of Nelsonville; a sister-in-law Betty M. Lowery of Glouster; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Lorenzo D. Jr., and Roger A. Lowery, both of Glouster; a sister, Shirley M. Woodard Smith of Pomeroy; grandparents on both sides, Alonzo and Levine Lowery and Marion and Viola Zarley, all of Glouster; two nieces, Annett M. Lowery of Circleville and Michelle E. Clinton of Georgia; three brothers-in-law, Larry E. Giffin of New Marshfield, Rodney McKee Sr., of Trimble and Joseph E. McKee Sr., of Nelsonville; a sister-in-law Lilly K. Koon Lowery of Glouster; and many aunts, uncles and cousins that were very close to him.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday June 3, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Brad Seevers officiating.  Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.  A visitation will take place on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting his tribute wall at www.morrisonfc.com.
