To the editor:
Regarding the recent firing of a longtime and respected supervisor at Passion Works Studio, I suspect if I, as a male, related to my supervisor at any similar nonprofit (i.e., whose mission is necessarily politically progressive and dependent on contributions) that I was planning on attending a meeting of a male supremest organization, I would take her seriously enough to try to learn more, perhaps in a meeting.
If, later on, she was arrested in a demonstration against white supremacy, I would respect her opinion, and I would not expect her to be fired for having to take leave to served her sentence. And what if that male supremest organization turned out to be a Christian organization that had a history of making financial contributions to Passion Works Studio and had voiced concern with the Director? Lots to think about.
