ATHENS, Ohio –– Sandra “Sandy” J. Scott, 79, of Athens, Ohio, died from pancreatic cancer Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born September 11, 1946, in South Bend, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Barry Scott; and her daughter, Jodie Scott. Per her request, no funeral service will be observed and cremation has take place. In honor of Sandy’s memory, contributions may be made to any of the following: Athens County Dog Shelter, Athens County Food Bank, or WOUB Public Media.
