LANCASTER, Ohio – Seth Stuart Peele, 33, of Lancaster, formerly of Laura, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was born April 21, 1992, to Scott & Susan (Hoffman) Peele in Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Virginia Hoffman, Terry and Cecelia Peele; aunts Wanda Cochran and Bonnie Hoffman.
He will be missed and remembered by his parents Scott & Susan Peele of Laura; betrothed Anna Liselotte von Fahnestock; brothers Allen Peele and Zakhery Peele, both of Columbus; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Seth was a 2010 graduate from Franklin Monroe High School and MVCTC. After graduating, he attended Hocking College and then went on to work at Claypool Electric, working his way up to becoming a Journeyman Electrician. He was a member of the Muskingum Valley Council, Scouting America, Darke County Parks District, Darke County FFA and 4-H.
Seth volunteered and worked at Camp Wilson and Camp Copneconic YMCA camps, Hocking Canopee Tours, Ohio State Parks, and the Hocking College Robinson’s Crossing. He was an avid hiker, loved watching classic movies, collecting and playing Magic the Gathering, and was a perpetual mentor to the younger generations.
The family will receive friends from 2–5 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg, Ohio.
