NEW PLYMOUTH, Ohio – James E. Johnson, age 91, of New Plymouth, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at his home in New Plymouth, Ohio.
James was born November 23, 1934, in Columbus, Ohio, to Theodore and Maxine Johnson.
Surviving are his children, Bonnie Colvin, Perian (Rick) Crabtree, Desiree (Bryan) Willoughby, Troy Johnson, and Gentry Johnson; grandchildren, Jeremy (Meredith) Crabtree, Joshua Crabtree, Jorden Colvin, Kelsie (Jeff) Hartman, Carson (Monica) Willoughby, Cory Johnson, and Jimmy Johnson; great-grandchildren, Keirsten Crabtree, Ronin Crabtree, Coltyn Crabtree, Scarlett Crabtree, Violett Crabtree; sister, Wanda Wentzel; and dogs, Fargo and Beamie.
James was preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Ann Johnson; parents; siblings, Betty Messer, and Ted Johnson, Joyce Berry.
Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio for cremation at this time.
