James D. Lenigar

NELSONVILLE, Ohio – James D. Lenigar, 68 of Nelsonville passed away Friday May 22, 2026 at his residence.  Born June 20, 1957 in Columbus, he was the son of the late Walter T. and Delma A. Wright Lenigar. 

James loved everyone.  He was the type of person that would not only give you the shirt off his back, but also the teeth from his mouth.

He retired from the Glouster Water and Electric Department and was a member of Shepard’s Chapel Church.  James was known as a jack of all trades with a strong mechanical ability, and he especially enjoyed working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Jacki L. Conley of Nelsonville; daughters, Jamie (Daniel) Decore of Glouster, Sherry (Shannon) McKee of Columbus, Tiffany (Restry) Kilkenny of Nelsonville, Vanessa (Christopher) Torres of Grove City, Jessica (Doug) Nelson of Glouster, and Alicia (James) Molihan of Buchtel; a son, Larry (Brittany) Collins of The Plains; grandchildren, Danielle, Kaylalee, Shannon Marie, Haylee, Chelsie, Gabby, Nathaniel, Brandon, Paizley, Levi, Rayden, Remington, Ryder, Presley, Peyton, Ashlynn, James, Samuel, Vivian, Broc, Bradley, Kaylyn, and Natalie; 11 great grandchildren and one on the way, Jace; three brothers and two sisters; his sister wife, Tiny; and a special friend Andrew.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia May; and two brothers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to OhioHealth Hospice with special mention to Mike and Deb, for all of their care.

James wishes were to be cremated.  There will be a celebration of life held at noon Saturday June 20, 2026 at 52 Locust Street, Glouster, Ohio 45732.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family at ww.morrisonfc.com.
