Tracy Davidson

THE PLAINS, Ohio – Tracy Lynn Davidson, 56, of Athens, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.
Born on May 15, 1970, Tracy was the beloved daughter of Bill Davidson and the late Kathy Jo Davidson. A lifelong resident of Athens, Tracy touched countless lives with her joyful spirit, gentle heart, and infectious enthusiasm. She had a remarkable way of bringing smiles to those around her and finding happiness in life’s simple pleasures.

Tracy loved coloring, making crafts, and creating art projects. She was happiest with markers, colored pencils, and coloring books in hand, expressing her creativity and sharing her excitement with others. She also loved to dance and celebrate life’s moments, often gathering hands together and leading everyone around her in her signature cheer: “1, 2, 3, Champions!”

One of Tracy’s greatest joys was bowling. She proudly participated in a bowling league and enjoyed the friendships, laughter, and sense of accomplishment that came with it. She was also an enthusiastic participant in the Special Olympics, embracing every opportunity to compete, connect with others, and celebrate achievements both big and small.

A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, Tracy loved listening to his music and visiting Dollywood. She also enjoyed spending time watching her favorite shows and movies, especially The Price Is Right, which was often playing throughout the day. She never seemed to tire of it. She also loved The Wizard of Oz and America’s Got Talent. Tracy had a deep love for animals and especially cherished her beloved dogs, Lucy and Xena Princess Warrior.

Throughout her life, Tracy attended adult day services and received supportive care through The Sech-Kar Company, where she participated in day programming and residential supported living services. She formed many meaningful friendships and was blessed by caregivers and staff members who became an important part of her extended family. In her final days, she was also surrounded by compassionate support from FAIRHOPE Hospice and Palliative Care.

Above all, Tracy loved people. She treasured time spent with family, friends, caregivers, and everyone who shared in her life. Her excitement, warmth, and unconditional affection made others feel welcomed and appreciated. Whether through a smile, a cheer, a dance, or simply her presence, Tracy had a gift for bringing joy to those around her.

She is survived by her father, Bill (Cat) Davidson; her brother, John (Jill) Davidson; her nephews, Tyler Davidson (Lillian Wright) and Ryan (Delaney) Davidson; her great-nieces, Audrey and Eliza; and many extended family members, friends, caregivers, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Jo Davidson; her grandparents; and her beloved dogs, Lucy and Xena Princess Warrior.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers, friends, and loved ones who enriched Tracy’s life with kindness, companionship, and love. They are also deeply grateful to the teams at The Sech-Kar Company and FAIRHOPE Hospice and Palliative Care for the compassion, dignity, and support they provided.

A memorial service celebrating Tracy’s life will be announced at a later date.

Though Tracy’s time on earth has come to an end, the joy she shared, the love she gave, and the countless smiles she inspired will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be remembered always for her joyful spirit, her loving heart, and her enduring reminder to celebrate life like a champion.1, 2, 3, Champions!
