NELSONVILLE, Ohio – William Floyd Dye Jr., age 36, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away June 30, 2026, at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio.
William was born on September 8, 1989, in Athens, Ohio to William Floyd Dye Sr. and Carla Sue. He graduated from Alexander High School; and loved cooking, playing video games, and being with friends and family.
Surviving are his parents, William Floyd Dye Sr. and Carla Sue Dye; sisters, Lena Dye of Chauncey, Amanda Dye of Nelsonville, and Lacey Dye of Albany; daughters, Raelynn Dye and Karissa Barstow, both of Albany; significant other, Shauntelle Porter of Albany; and nieces and nephews, Shelby Thompson, Mason Thompson, and Brycen Terry.
William was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Crystal and Carl Boyd; paternal grandparents, Alice and Tom Woods; and several aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be observed 4–8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with William Dye Jr’s funeral expenses.
