Jamie Lou McClelland

TRIMBLE, Ohio – Jamie Lou McClelland, 79, of Trimble passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, at home with loved ones. She carried a tenacity for life that allowed her to work hard and play hard. Jamie had an adventurous career that culminated with her retirement from Sedgwick Claims Management Services. Over the years, she was an avid softball player and a motorcycle enthusiast, and she enjoyed movies and music of all genres. Ask her to take a road trip, and she was going! Jamie’s gift was helping others around her realize they could achieve more than they had believed, inspiring many in her community and family.

Jamie is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Richard); son, Steven; Goddaughter, Shona; grandsons Dillon & Elijah; sister, Molly (Larry); and brothers, Thomas (Lyn) & Michael, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family wishes to thank her extended “family,” caregivers Brenda (Jack) and Melissa (Eric). And gives appreciation for friends beyond measure: Cathy, CJ, Kim, and Lori. As well as thanks to Ohio Health Hospice for helping provide dignity in the last months.    

She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Thelma Fleming; and sister, Susan (Roger). 

A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturday August 29, 2026, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel.
