ATHENS, Ohio – As we head into our sixth year of operations, Athens Krishna House will be holding a very special program 4:30 p.m. Sunday, September 13, in order to honor the sacred day of Janmastami, which is an important Hindu festival for devotees of Lord Krishna – comparable to the holy day of Christmas here in the west.
Athens Krishna House is a spiritual community center for anyone who is inclined to learn about such things as mantra meditation, eastern philosophy, vegetarianism and self realization.
We feel this event will be of interest, not only to the students of Ohio University, but also to many other Athens residents who enjoy exploring and experiencing cross-cultural traditions and events.
