ATHENS – Janet Morgan, 57, of Athens, Ohio passed away peacefully at home, in the arms of her family after a long battle with Early Onset Alzheimers, Thursday September 21st, 2023.
Janet graduated from Athens High School Class of 1984, followed by a Bachelors Degree in Early Education at Ohio University. She was a 1st and 2nd Grade Teacher for over 20 years at Alexander Elementary School where she loved and was loved by students, fellow teachers and faculty alike.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years Kevin Morgan, daughter Hannah and sons Noah and Liam as well as her mother Lillian Dinos and sister Gwen Perrott of Morgantown, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her father Nicholas Dinos and brother Christopher Dinos.
Janet was much loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was known for her enthusiastic approach to life and glowing smile, her love of pets and care for all the small things in life. In the summer months she was a passionate gardener creating beautiful spaces for all to enjoy.
Her close family, friends and loved ones will be gathering for a celebration of life in Janet’s honor. Janet’s family would like to express our overwhelming gratitude for all who carried us through this difficult time.
