ATHENS, Ohio – Construction on Dairy Lane is closing Richland Ave to through traffic. From Monday, August 10–Thursday, September 9, 2026, the following routes will detour:
Line 3: Detours around Richland via the highway to Andover Apartments, then highway back to Baker Center.
Line 2: Skips The Ridges. Takes the highway to the south end of Richland, travels up Richland, turns around at the OU Inn, then returns via the south end of Richland and highway back to Baker Center.
Line 7A: Detours around Richland via the highway to Albany. On its return trip to Athens, it will travel up Richland, turn around at the OU Inn, then return via the south end of Richland and highway back to Baker Center.
When traveling on Richland, buses will make all regular stops as close to schedule as possible. We recommend arriving at your stop a few minutes early during the first week while we fine-tune the new routing.
