Born Oct. 11, 1924, in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Basil A. Minerd Sr. and Audrey Lonas Minerd.

Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Friends may call Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Basil will be buried at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N Dixie Drive, Dayton. A Masonic Blue Lodge service and a time for family and friends to offer remembrances will be held graveside at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023.

Services will be held Saturday, March 18, at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Visitation will begin at noon with services to follow at 1 pm. 

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Friends may call 6–8 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
