Shortly after graduating Ohio University in 1999, Leah Nairn landed a job with a local newspaper writing anything and everything from sports to the farm report. During that time, the one and only staff photographer suddenly quit leaving reporters solely responsible for the art for their stories. The paper responded by sending writers to a brief photography course. There she learned the ins and outs of the camera and composition.
Various career moves have led Leah back to photography. Her project, Redemption Through the Lens, stems from the convergence of her work as an officer and a love of photography. To learn more, visit Leah Nairn Photography.
The students in the Afterschool Music Program at Stuart’s Opera House face the challenge of writing, rehearsing, recording, and releasing an original song by the end of the fall semester.
