A memorial service will be held in First Presbyterian Church in Athens on Saturday, June 24th at 10 a.m., with a memorial bike ride to follow at 11:15 a.m., starting at Peden Stadium and ending in Eclipse Company Store in The Plains, where a reception will be held upstairs starting at 12 p.m.

A memorial will be held 3–4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens, 184 Longview Heights, Athens. A reception will follow at Purple Chopstix on Richland Avenue.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Friends may call 6–8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Louis E. Wright died Feb. 7, 2023, at age 82 from complications with Parkinson’s. A private memorial will be planned at a later date.

Jerry Jagers, 89, of Athens passed Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at his home. Born Nov. 25, 1933, in Athens, he was the son of the late John T. Jagers and Erma Thomas Jagers.
