ALBANY — Barbara Parsons Skinner, 82, of Albany, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023. Born May 10, 1940, in Stewart, she was the daughter of the late Vern and Verona Starkey Parsons. She was a 1958 graduate of Rockbridge High School.
Barb was a longtime member of the Chesterhill Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Squad. She was also very active with the Chesterhill and Alexander Lions clubs.
She is survived by daughters Amy Skinner (Clair Tosino) of Buckeye Lake and Molly (Rudiger) Baumgartel of Albany; three grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Skinner of Pataskala, Max (Hannah) Baumgartel of Logan and Olivia Baumgartel of Albany; and two great-grandchildren, Ada and Sam Skinner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Skinner.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 18, at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Visitation will begin at noon with services to follow at 1 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date.
