Nelsonville and Buchtel boil order through Dec. 14, 2025

The Nelsonville Water Department Crews are working on a 12-inch water line break between DeStieger Street and Harper Street. It may cause low to no water pressure to the east end of Nelsonville., and low pressure in the Village of Buchtel.

NELSONVILLE, Ohio –– The Nelsonville Water Department Crews are working on a 12-inch water line break between DeStieger Street and Harper Street. The water line break may cause low to no water pressure to most of the East end of Nelsonville. The incident will also cause low water pressure in the Village of Buchtel.

The affected areas of Nelsonville are: all East Canal Street, Chestnut Street, Poplar Street, Walnut Street, St. John Street, St. Charles Street, Grosvenor Street, Marietta Road, Church Street,  Dalton Drive, James Drive, DeSteiguer Street, Watkins Street,  High Street, Cherry Street, Ashton Avenue, Haper Street, Harper Way, Jackson Street, Patton Street, Back Street, Railroad Street, Crihfield Drive, Scine Street, Rhine Street, East Green Drive, Burr Oak Blvd, Hillside Drive, Blair Court, Sylvania Avenue, Elm Rock Road, SR 691 to Kimberly Road, Kimberly Road, Hocking Parkway, and Loop Road.

The City of Nelsonville has issued a boil order for the affected areas in Nelsonville until Noon Sunday, Dec. 14. When a boil order is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three (3) minutes before being consumed.
