Bonnie Jean Christman

Bonnie Jean Christman, 91, went home to be with the Lord while living with her daughter on January 2, 2024.  To Harley and Alma Kittle Bonnie was born May 28, 1932, and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and sisters Evelyn Allen and Betty Riley; her brother Harley Garold Kittle surviving.

Left to celebrate her life are her children:  Bill (Becky) of Moyie Springs, ID, Rebecca (Dave) Olson of Lewis Center, OH, Bryan (Brenda) of Glouster, OH, and Bruce (Linda) of Winchester, OH along with 7 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

On June 4, 1950, Bonnie married the man of her life, Bill with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. They lived almost 60 years of that marriage on Braun Street in Glouster where they built a life serving Jesus Christ and their children.  In her younger years Bonnie led the Adult Choir at the Glouster church and along with the church family there had Christmas and Easter Cantatas. In the 70s she worked with a large youth choir that sang music in places all over Southern Ohio. Bonnie started the Village Gift Shop in Glouster which she operated for several years and so enjoyed the friendships in the community she made while having that store. Bonnie and her husband were faithful in serving the Lord in all the years her children can remember.

Many of her friends have gone before, but those who are still among the living can be part of her celebration of life on Saturday January 6, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Bishopville Church of Christ, 6555 S. State Route 78, Glouster, OH 45732. One of her nephews, Brad Kittle from Utica, OH will be leading the celebration.  Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family at www.morrisonfc.com.
