Carol J. Stewart, 91 of Thornville, formerly of Bremen passed away Sunday December 10, 2023 at the Country Lane Gardens in Thornville. Born March 22, 1932 in Hamlin, WV, she was the daughter of the late Okey and Amanda McComas Triplett. Carol was a former babysitter in Bremen for several years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and quilting. She was a member of the Bremen Daughters of Rebekah and the Bremen Jerusalem Church.
She is survived by a son, Mark A. (Brenda) Stewart of Glouster; three daughters, Leah (H.G.) Kellar of Llano, TX, Linda Allen of Lancaster, and Joy Stewart of Zanesville; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Stewart; brothers, Billy, Denver, and Bob Stewart; and sisters, Lillian Stone and Maxine Mansfield.
A viewing will take place on Thursday December 14, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, 6525 State Route 78, Glouster, OH 45732. There will be a graveside service on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Grandview Cemetery, 9540 Lancaster-New Lexington Rd. SE, Bremen, Ohio 43107.
