The Public Square will be closed to traffic 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday, October 18, for a community yard sale.

City of Athens fire hydrant flushing for Sept. 24, 2025
The Fire Department will be flushing and testing hydrants 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, on the following streets. No boil order will be issued for hydrant flushing, but the City recommends you do not wash laundry during this time.
