Obituaries

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, January 12th at 2:00 p.m. at West Union St. Cemetery, Athens with Rev. William Hunter officiating.  Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by VFW Post 9897 and KT Crossen Post 21 American Legion Honor Guards.

A cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting the tribute wall at www.morrisonfc.com.

A funeral service will be at 1 pm on Friday January 10, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville, with Rick Seiter officiating.  Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.  Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday January 11, 2025, at the Bishopville Church of Christ with Rocky Exline officiating.  Interment will be in Taylor Ridge Cemetery.  A visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. …

Friends and family are welcome to attend services at 2 p.m. on Tuesday January 7, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Bobby Thompson officiating.  A visitation will take place on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until the time of service. A caring cremation will follow.

A private Celebrate Life memorial service for close friends and family will be held in the spring through Jagers & Sons of Athens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Betsy’s name be made to NAMI Athens and Friends of the Shelter Dogs in Athens.

A private service will be held at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, 24 Morris Ave., Athens, OH 45701.  She will be buried in the West Union Street Cemetery in Athens, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday January 3, 2025 at the Bishopville Church of Christ, 6555 S. St. Rt. 78, Glouster, OH 45732 with Jerry Marang officiating.  Interment will be in the Dew Cemetery.  Visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Mill St., Athens, OH, 45701.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Rev. David Roach officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.  Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  Military rites will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard.
