In honor of Joe’s humble nature and request, no formal funeral will be held. He will be commemorated with a celebration of life and military honors at a later date.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Rev. David Roach officiating.

Graveside service will be conducted noon Monday, March 3, at West Union St. Cemetery.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at the Bishopville Church of Christ with Rocky Exline officiating.

THE PLAINS, Ohio — Rheta (Brooks) Maccombs, 91, of The Plains, Ohio, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Per Carolyn’s request, no funeral service will be observed.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday March 6, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio.

Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio for a simple cremation at this time.
