Obituaries

A visitation will take place on Saturday February 21, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Morrison Funeral Chapel. Cremation will follow. An inurnment will take place at a later date at the Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home. Friends may call 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home. Friends may call 5–7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 at Bishopville Church of Christ. There will be a military service conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit and the U.S. Air Force. Visitation will be held on Friday from noon until the time of the service.

Family and friends may call 5–7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, and 5–7 Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.

Calling hours will be observed from 5–7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home prior to a celebration of life where family and friends can share stories at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow at Carbon Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will Friday, February 6, from 2–4 p.m. and from 6–8 p.m. at the Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church, as well as 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday, Feb. 7.

A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, 24 Morris Ave., Athens, with a burial following at Athens Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Athens High School Band where Shirley had many fond memories of playing her saxophone with friends.

A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 21 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, with visitation beginning at 10:00. It will be followed by a lunch at The Dairy Barn.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home in Athens, 4–6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7.
