ATHENS, Ohio – The City of Athens announces that East State Street eastbound will be reduced to one lane of traffic at 547 East State Street on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Lane reduction will be from 2 a.m. until work is completed. American Electric Power will be installing a new pole and underground wiring for a new electric service.
