Your letter must
- Be no more than 500 words long.
- Address a topic or issue that is specifically relevant to Athens County. If you want to write about a state or national issue, you must explain how that issue directly affects people who live here.
- Be respectful. No name-calling, personal attacks or hate.
- Be factual and truthful. We will not publish letters that contain misinformation, disinformation.
- Not promote a product or service.
- Not include information that could be used to identify a private individual by name, address or workplace.
- Disclose your affiliations with groups that promote or lobby for the issues addressed in the letter
- Include your first and last name and your full physical address (only the town and state will be published) If you do not include your full name and address, we cannot publish your letter.
We reserve the right not to publish any given letter. We also reserve the right, but undertake no duty, to review, edit (for clarity, grammar and accuracy), move, or delete any content submitted by users, in our sole discretion, without notice.
