We are dedicated to accurate, accessible reporting. If you find something wrong or unclear in our reporting, please let us know.
The Independent staff will review your submission and decide what to do:
- We made a factual error. We’ll correct the information online and add a note at the end of the story explaining what was changed and when. If it’s a big error, we’ll make the note in the text itself or even at the top. If the incorrect information came from a source we reasonably expected to be trustworthy, we’ll note that, too. Typographic or inconsequential errors will be corrected without a note.
- We didn’t make a mistake, but the information could be clearer. We will reword or rewrite the text to make the information clearer. Clarifications will be noted at the bottom of an article.
We didn’t get anything wrong. No change will be made.
