Unlike many of the dogs that end up in the shelter, Boone once had a loving home. Due to his owner’s health, Boone was surrendered to the shelter as a last resort. And his loving upbringing shows in his behavior. Boone is calm, self-assured, and very handler centered. Someone spent a lot of time with him because he knows several commands, including sit, down, and paw. Boone loves showing off these skills because it means he is spending time with a human and getting attention. He clearly misses being someone’s companion.
Boone is past the energetic puppy phase and in the prime of his life. He is ready to walk, snuggle, work, you name it. In short, he is home ready. He is just missing the home.
