Shelter staff and volunteers adoringly refer to Hope as “portly,” “a whale,” and a “hippo.” Sure, she has some pounds to lose, but she is just the loveliest, stocky lady we know. Hope appears to be a 1- 2 year old english bulldog mix and she has the back rolls to prove it.
She is quite an animated lady when she first meets you and then she quickly returns to her favorite pastime, lounging. Hope has had some positive companion walks with other dogs and is very easy to handle on the leash. She keeps getting overlooked for no good reason at all. We think Hope would be the perfect companion to escape the heat with this summer. She loves air conditioning!
