Dog of the Week: Linus

1-20-26, male terrier mx, ~3yo, 102#, FOUND on SR 691, Nelsonville.

Do you like big, chunky, dogs that are lovebugs?  You should definitely meet Linus, a 2’ish year-old Terrier mix.  This is Linus’ second time at the shelter (not his fault), and this time he arrived an absolute hot mess.  He was in need of dental work and medical care the tumors in his mouth and paw.  Despite being in such poor shape, Linus loves getting attention from people and his constant grin melts the hearts of everyone he meets.  Linus is currently undergoing treatment and recovering in a foster home who reports he has been an easy guest.  He mainly prefers to snooze by the wood stove and walks like a dream on a leash.  Linus’ ideal adopters would help him keep up with these walks (no shame, but his health would improve if he lost weight) and enjoy getting tackle-hugged by an adorable land hippo. To adopt Linus, call the Athens County Dog Shelter a call at 740-593-5415.
