MILLIE, 3-30-24, female terrier mix, 5yo, 38#.
Millie came into the shelter with 5 puppies and their father after they had been abandoned in early April. Thankfully, they all were adopted, but Mama Millie is still waiting. Volunteers absolutely love Millie and hate putting her back in her kennel after a walk or outing. Millie walks well on the leash, has had positive companion walks with other dogs, and absolutely loves to give kisses.
We’ve had the opportunity to learn more about Millie as she has attended 3 separate adoption events. She absolutely adores kids and also enjoys the company of other dogs. But mostly she is all business at these adoption events. She goes up to each new person and wags her tail, pleading with them to adopt her. Millie knows she is a catch and she is not wrong.
To meet Millie, call the Athens County Dog Shelter at (740) 593-5415. If you can’t adopt, consider fostering. You can fill out our foster application at fosdathens.com/foster
