Whenever a volunteer stops by Norma’s kennel, it’s as if they’ve stepped into a silent movie. Color is replaced by tones of sepia. A lone violin plays a melancholy tune while a spotlight focuses on 3 year-old Norma, a perfectly still Terrier mix, giving the saddest eyes you’ve ever seen. But the moment her kennel door is opened, the sepia breaks out into a technicolor tornado. She gets the zoomies. She tackles people with kisses. She accuses her shelter mates of crimes. Eventually, the circus dies down, Norma goes back into her kennel and the silent film returns. This story has been running on repeat and we can’t get enough.
