Steel, AKA Steely Dan, is marking his one-year at the Athens County Dog Shelter this week. While this is an unfortunate milestone for him, volunteers have loved getting to know him. Boy can he make us laugh. He’s the lovable, grumpy Grandpa everyone wishes they had. Steel’s favorite activities include rolling in the grass on a warm day, telling volunteers what to do, and causing mischief during car rides. At this stage in his life and health, his ideal adopter would have no other pets or young children, and a spot on the porch to enjoy a pupsicle. If you’re looking for a dog that’s equal parts chaos and calm, you should meet Steel.
