Eugene Duncan

GLOUSTER, Ohio –– Eugene Duncan, 67 of Glouster passed away on Good Friday peacefully at his home with his wife by his side.  He was born March 27, 1958, in Athens County.

Eugene was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa, brother, uncle and in-law.  Eugene spent his career working on the railroad where he earned a reputation for his dedication and hard work.  You could always call Eugene if you needed a lending hand. He enjoyed riding his Harley, driving his Dodge Challenger and working in his yard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Vickie; daughters, Melissa (Joey) of Glouster and Tonia (Ben) of Lancaster; granddaughters, Taylor (Tyler), Lacey (Trent), and Kristina (Corey); great grandchildren, Tatum, Tegan, Charlie, Reign, Jacobi, Cayson, and Moxen; a sister, Sherri (Christopher); brothers, Dan (Lynn) and David (Lisa); his step mother, Betty Duncan; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews; a loving K-9, Audie, and feline, Willa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Miller; his father, Dana Duncan Sr.; grandmother, Deloris (Wendel) Shifflet; stepdaughter, Shannon Mitchell; a brother, Charles Duncan; a sister, Tammy Rutherford; a great granddaughter, Raylynn; and a special nephew, Chaz Duncan.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday April 23, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Jon Hanning officiating.  Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home Tuesday, April 22, from 5 to 8 p.m.  Contributions in Eugene’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
