To the editor:
The Paw Paw Festival is a big event. Parking is limited. To ease the parking problem, folks were directed to turn off on Enlow Road north of the Paw Paw Festival grounds, and park at the dam on the opposite side of the lake. I think there was supposed to be a shuttle service, but I didn’t see it. Some folks I spoke to complained about the walk from the Dam to the main gate of the Festival grounds, something like a mile plus.
I see an opportunity here. If folks with pontoon boats want to make some money, say $3 to $5 bucks a head … why not start a Festival Ferry Service, from the dam to the boat dock at the Festival Grounds? Of course the Festival Organizers will have to put a ticket booth at the boat dock but so what?
